ANAND KAMAL COOPERATIVE HOUSING SOCIETY LTD. HEJC Architects Combine represented by Mr. Hoshedar Carnac had been retained by our society for a restoration project of all lobbies, landings and stairwell of Kamal Mahal Building. The original Kamal Mahal decor is in the art-deco style and instead of renovation our committee decided it would be best to try and preserve the beauty of the existing decor, so in consultation with Mr. Carnac and after due sampling of a few sections, we awarded the contract to HEJC Architects Combine. The scope of the work encompassed, new tiling, dado work, in-situ work, polishing, painting, woodworks, lighting and lift decor. The work was conducted keeping a keen eye on detail and executed mostly in good time with positive results. The members have greatly appreciated the restoration of Kamal Mahal interiors to its past opulence and are satisfied with the results. Congratulations to Mr. Carnac and his team on a job well done. Even while procuring smallest thing like handles for doors in crowded by lanes of Lohar Chawl to selecting high end home furniture at up market designer stores. You were always personally rather. You were equally at ease in both these contrasting places and that proves your honesty, integrity, commitment and dedication to cause. You and your super efficient team executed the project in most efficient and professional manner. Your team always ensured smooth coofination and timely follow up with all the different agencies involved in the project and ensured timely completion of our most valuable possession…. EMPIRE ESTATE HEC Architects and Interior Designers now known as HEJC Architects Combine had been give the task of restoring my New Empire Cinema, Bombay which is an Art Deco Structure. They had also been asked to design specific areas in the cinema which concern for my New Empire Cinema, Bombay which is an Art Deco and Heritage Structure: Restoration of the auditorium, lobbies at both levels, entrance, foyer/vestibule, staircase was done wonderfully and, and also coordinating and dove tailing with the different agencies e.g. painters, masons, carpenters, air-conditioning and the sound system was so good that they got all the work done in a record break time of 3 days short of 3 months. The new design elements carried out at the New Empire were the soda fountain counters at both levels, the Main Canopy and the fencing around the property. Each of the above Designs was excellent and designed in Art Deco Style which merged with the rest of the art deco style of the cinema complimenting it very well as if it existed for years on end. Having no experience in the cinema field or art deco restoration, it was a big hearted decision taken by me to award him the project. This project he carried out to my complete satisfaction. His sincerity and honesty approach to work is commendable too. He is open to challenges and thrives on succeeding in them. The original Kamal Mahal decor is in the art-deco style and instead of renovation our committee decided it would be best to try and preserve the beauty of the existing decor, so in consultation with Mr. Carnac and after due sampling of a few sections, we awarded the contract to HEJC Architects Combine.

The scope of the work encompassed, new tiling, dado work, in-situ work, polishing, painting, woodworks, lighting and lift decor.

The work was conducted keeping a keen eye on detail and executed mostly in good time with positive results. The members have greatly appreciated the restoration of Kamal Mahal interiors to its past opulence and are satisfied with the results.

EMPIRE ESTATE

HEC Architects and Interior Designers now known as HEJC Architects Combine had been give the task of restoring my New Empire Cinema, Bombay which is an Art Deco Structure.

They had also been asked to design specific areas in the cinema which concern for my New Empire Cinema, Bombay which is an Art Deco and Heritage Structure:

Restoration of the auditorium, lobbies at both levels, entrance, foyer/vestibule, staircase was done wonderfully and, and also coordinating and dove tailing with the different agencies e.g. painters, masons, carpenters, air-conditioning and the sound system was so good that they got all the work done in a record break time of 3 days short of 3 months.

The new design elements carried out at the New Empire were the soda fountain counters at both levels, the Main Canopy and the fencing around the property. Each of the above Designs was excellent and designed in Art Deco Style which merged with the rest of the art deco style of the cinema complimenting it very well as if it existed for years on end.

Having no experience in the cinema field or art deco restoration, it was a big hearted decision taken by me to award him the project. This project he carried out to my complete satisfaction.

His sincerity and honesty approach to work is commendable too.

He is open to challenges and thrives on succeeding in them. This he has admirably proved in restoring the New Empire Cinema as it was done first in 1984.
